One is Not Enough

Great article that talks about the idea of doing more government funded public outreach to inform people of the importance of reading, thinking, and vocabulary development from an early age.  3 and 4 years old is too late.

Also, I've seriously been considering making a more serious book blog.  I have it mapped out in my head, but it would take quite a while for me to learn how to set it up and make it look "legit."  Perhaps it will be a summer project :-)
